My day started off well. I had a pretty good day at work and felt I got a lot accomplished which was a personal victory. I got off work and went to CVS. I bought 2 body washes and 2 Pantene Shampoo's for $1.24...awesome! Then my day went south, I hope the rest of the week is not going to be bad news.
Someone who is very close to me is in a bit of a jam. I am a problem solver, but not even I can help with this one. I know people make mistakes. I know we have to pay for our mistakes, its the way of the world. Maybe since this is someone I care about I feel differently...well I know that's the case. It seems like some people can get out of everything and people who actually try get dealt a crappy hand. My friend is fixing to loose their license, which is terrible. They work and go to school so this is a big problem. No license means no way to get to school or work. So here is this person who is trying to better their life and now it is likely that if something doesn't change they will have to drop out of school and maybe even loose their job. I feel so bad. I have tried to think of ways I can help, but my schedule doesn't allow for me to do much of anything for them. They made a mistake. I don't think we ever think how one thing can impact our life to the fullest extent. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that they will get help from someone and that their life is not ruined by one thing...I am really sad :(
I usually don't feel bad for folks who get their selves into bad situations. I have always been a follow the rules type. I never get in trouble. Even in school the only time I can ever remember getting in trouble was in 2nd grade. I forgot my homework and had my name on the board and I cried over it...LOL I did get a ticket this year after being in a minor fender bender, a moving violation...that was bad. I am paying an extra 50 bucks a month for it now in insurance but what's done is done. Once we do something bad or wrong there is no taking it back. Your stuck in the situation and really there is no one to blame but yourself. People will have opinion's of you and all that is something you have to live with.
I just feel helpless to this person and I wish I could do something. They have tried really hard to overcome a lot of difficult things. Now I fear they will have a terrible set back over something that was a mistake. I can only hope that a better outcome will be found, and they will not feel so hopeless. At this point all I can do is offer support and pray that things will change for them. I will do as much as possible to help them. It's always something in life that can knock you down, and we should all hope that we have people who love us enough to try to uplift us and lend a helping hand :)
That's it for today. All I can think about is this person, so hopefully I will be a little more optimistic by the end of the week. Take a minute to think of someone you know who is in need. Could you help them? Something that seems small to us, could mean the world to another...
