It's true...I'm a penny pincher. I look for every way possible to save a dollar here and there. Over the weekend I singed onto a new site and I can already tell it's going to save me a few bucks here and there and who wouldn't be ecstatic about that!!!
I do a lot of online shopping. It's actually my preference to shop for stuff online. It keeps me from buying more than I planned on, saves me gas money, and most of the time arrives at my door for free. Who wouldn't like online shopping?
My new money back find...Ebates :) I have already tried it out. I was ordering Winston a few shirts from American Eagle so I signed up for a account. Basically you sign up for an account and certain stores offer cash back on purchases through Ebates. So you sign onto Ebates and then go to the store site from there. I bought $50 bucks worth of stuff from American Eagle and earned $1.65 on ebates. I know, I know, it doesn't sound like much. I do a ton of online shopping for Christmas and I am sure that my Ebates money will rack up fast. Plus I have some other ideas on how to use Ebates to my advantage. Example: We buy the oil for our cars from Advance Auto each time we change our oil. Advance Auto offers 6% cash back through Ebates so I can order my oil online to pick up in the store. I will earn about $2.50 just for buying my oil online instead of just walking in the store!
So I look at it like this... If I can buy it online and get free shipping it is in my favor to just buy stuff online and make it work for me. I LOVE FREE money!!! I might not get rich off of it, but maybe it will earn me enough money for a nice dinner with my husband a few times a year :) Ebates pays you your cash back quarterly. They will issue you a check, a credit to your paypal account or you can donate it to a charity. If you don't have the minimum amount to be issued cash back your total will be rolled over to the next quarter.
